This presentation will cover the different investigative processes used by the major Arizona professional boards, due process concerns during investigations, ways to address and mitigate errors and deviations from the standard of care, the review and rehearing process, and Superior Court appeals. This presentation will also discuss successful approaches to certain types of cases, along with reoccurring issues needing further exploration, examination, or litigation before the various Boards.
Flynn Carey is a founding member of Mitchell Stein Carey Chapman, PC. Flynn’s practice focuses on the defense of licensed professionals, school discipline, Title IX litigation, and criminal defense. Flynn regularly appears before the various Arizona healthcare boards, including the Arizona Medical Board, the Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners, the Arizona State Board of Nursing, and the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. He also appears before a variety of non-medical Boards and Agencies, including the Board of Education, Board of Technical Registration, Veterinary Medical Examining Board, and Department of Real Estate. Flynn is one of only two attorneys recognized by the State Bar of Arizona as a Certified Specialist in Administrative Law.
To Register
Regardless of membership, you must login to purchase tickets. To do so:
- Under ticket information, click “login to purchase”
- This will take you to the login page. If you are a member, use the login information utilized for your membership. If you are a non-member, you will need to create an account to purchase a ticket. Non-members who have not created an account yet, must select “Register” along the bottom next to “Lost your password?”
- From there, you will create an Account by entering a username, name, email address, and password. Then select “Complete Sign Up.”
- The account will need to be activated by using the link in a confirmation email sent to the registered email address. Once the account is activated, you will login using the credentials provided (username and password).
- Once logged in, navigate to the Program page and select the number of tickets needed and select “Get Tickets” to proceed with the checkout process.
