Join Aletheia Lawry, Kimberly Ruppel, and Andrew Fox for an in-depth presentation into the legal complexities surrounding non-compete agreements in healthcare. In this session, our panel will explore the recent, rapid, and major developments in the field of non-competes, including relevant regulatory and legislative activity, case law and practical strategies. Lawyers from all walks of the healthcare field should be keenly interested in hearing the ins and outs of what non-competes mean for their clients, whether from the employer perspective or negotiating release from a restrictive covenant.
Andrew Fox is a commercial litigator. Although uncertain he can claim the esteemed title of “healthcare attorney,” Andrew routinely represents healthcare entities in employment and complex commercial disputes. He has successfully represented employers before administrative agencies, in arbitration proceedings, and in litigation in federal and state courts regarding a variety of employment-related claims, including both prosecuting and defending claims arising out of alleged breaches of post-employment restrictive covenants. Andrew also represents healthcare entities in lawsuits alleging violations of employment laws, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and unpaid wages.
In addition to health care, Andrew’s practice spans diverse industries, including hospitality, real estate development, and finance. With experience in federal and state courts, he excels in managing complex business disputes and resolving high-stakes business torts. His legal acumen is rooted in a strong foundation developed during his clerkship with the Honorable Douglas L. Rayes in the U.S. District Court.
Andrew’s work has earned him accolades including the 2025 Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in Commercial Litigation and Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Stars in Business Litigation in both 2023 and 2024. Beyond his legal endeavors, Andrew is also dedicated to his community, serving on the Board of Directors for Friends of the Phoenix Public Library, a nonprofit organization that supports local libraries and community programs.
These distinctions, combined with his commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes, make Andrew a trusted advocate for health care entities and businesses navigating complex legal landscapes.
