This presentation will provide a comprehensive update on the major developments shaping the health data interoperability landscape. The speakers will review key regulatory and policy changes from 2024-2025 and preview what to expect in 2026, including developments under the Information Blocking Rule (IBR) and enforcement efforts at both the federal and state levels, as reflected in recent and emerging litigation (e.g., Particle Health Inc. v. Epic, CureIS v. Epic, Real Time Medical Systems v. PointClickCare, and Intus Care v. RTZ Systems). The speakers will also address CMS interoperability mandates, changes to the USCDI data policy, and the expanding implementation of the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA). Attendees will leave better equipped to advise clients on compliance risks, enforcement trends, and emerging opportunities in this rapidly evolving area of health law.
